You can take the physical abuse, the sting of cuts, bruises and broken bones. They heal, over some time, they become nothing but a memory with little to no remembarance of the pain. Your strong, you hide this, managing through the day as anyone else. Your actions are questionable, your eyes shy away from others.
But the emotional abuse, has taken you and cut holes through you. You love, you respect, you hold your tongue. Arguements and put downs, followed by "I love you".
You hide.
Close your eyes to fantasies, to take you from your home. Only open your eyes in the darkness of your room; darkness poisoned with the chill of hate.
Neither should be endured by anyone.
Save yourself.
Save your soul.
Speak out.
